Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EmbedEasy ("we", "us") handles information in connection with Auto Discount Price (the "App"). This policy applies to the App only.

1. The data we access

The App requests the minimum Shopify access scopes it needs: read_discounts, read_products, write_products, read_themes, write_app_proxy. The App does not request, access, or store your customers' personal data, orders, payment information, or any store data outside of its core function.

2. Information we process

• Store & authentication data: your store domain and OAuth access token, stored in a PostgreSQL database we host on AWS.
• App settings & generated data: your dashboard settings and a record of which discounts and products have had a price label generated, stored as one document per shop in the same database.
• Technical & usage data: standard server log data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used to keep the App reliable.

3. How we use it

We use the data only to operate the App: to authenticate you with Shopify, generate the discounted-price labels the App writes to your store's metafields, and remember your dashboard settings between visits.

4. What we do not collect

• We do not process or store payment card information; billing is handled entirely by Shopify.
• We do not collect customer personal data, order data, or any information beyond what the App needs to function.

5. Service providers (subprocessors)

• Shopify — the platform the App runs on and processes billing through.
• Amazon Web Services — hosting and storage (EC2, RDS, CloudFront).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

6. Retention & deletion

Your session and settings are deleted when you uninstall the App, or on a shop/redact request. The discounted-price metafield values already written to your store are not deleted automatically on uninstall — you can remove them from the App's dashboard beforehand, or they simply stop updating once the App is gone.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Most such requests are satisfied by uninstalling the App. You can also email us at embedeasymod@gmail.com.

8. Data security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored on AWS infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
